Job Summary
- WE are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with at least five years of experience in yacht building or shipbuilding. Experience with technical innovations in yacht exterior design. Proficient in 3D design software for engineering purposes. Understanding of materials, production techniques, and assembly processes. Knowledge of engineering- and purchasing procedures in yacht and/or shipbuilding. Knowledge of the production process of a shipyard. Knowledge of guidelines and procedures (regulations of classification societies and flag states, safety, quality, and environment). Knowledge of the basic principles of project-based working.
Technical skills

MS Office And MS Project : Required
Siemens NX : Required
Sheet Metal knowledge : Required

What Will You Do?
- As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Proper coordination with all internal and external parties involved.
- Timely and correct execution of the work within one's own discipline in accordance with the project planning.
- Good cooperation with all parties involved.
- Timeliness and quality of the services and information to be delivered.
- Stay up to date with developments, knowledge, methods and techniques related to one's own discipline.
- What is your Role :
- Preparation: Gather information about a project and analyse this information.
- Implementation:
- Develop projects using a CAD application.
- Provide support in solving problems during the engineering process.
- Analyse and check drawings, quotations, and technical descriptions for various links in the process from engineering to production and delivery.
- Provide support in the development and implementation of standards and norms.
- Assess the substantive results of the (outsourced) engineering work performed.
- Assess the consistency of the results.
- Develop innovative design solutions from concept to completion.
- Ensure all technical drawings are accurate and up to date.
- Communication:
- With direct colleagues from the Engineering department about coordination and progress of the work.
- With Naval Architects, sister companies, suppliers, subcontractors for coordination, consultation.
- Inspection authorities for consultation and information exchange regarding the project.
