Roles and responsibilities
- You will work as an electrical CAD engineer
- The CAD engineer is responsible for the independent and efficient design of electrical installations for a wide range of disciplines (, distribution systems).
- Collection, management and (technical) assessment of relevant project documentation
- Collection and composition of documentation for the customer
- Create component templates and drawings in EPLAN and AutoCAD
- Independently create wiring diagrams and cable lists for the colleagues in the field.
- Create cable lists, terminal plans, PLC data point lists, and bills of materials
- Process revisions after production and/or installation
- The department takes a pragmatic approach to engineering. The orders they usually receive do not call for a paper mill, but a steadfast approach, starting before all the information is known. They do not look at what they do not know, but at what is known, and thus ensure that the implementation can already be put to work while the rest of the engineering is still to be worked out. This requires a flexible attitude from the engineers/constructors/drawers.
- For example:
- The installation does not need to be 100% known yet, before you start working out the cable diagrams etc. The aim is to keep the execution going. Adjustments can always be made
- Although not all cables are known yet, with your experience you can reasonably estimate how wide the cable paths should be and where they should run. So the cable runs can be worked out and installed
- Even though all I/O is not yet defined, you can already estimate what you need; by including spare places you can still have the control box worked out. Details will follow later Etc.
- The department is supportive of execution. If execution has a problem, it is taken up first. This sometimes results in hectic situations with a lot of pressure on those involved, which must be dealt with. On the basis of a sketch, the structural engineer / engineer has to set up a complete drawing package in accordance with the client's requirements and the applicable standards. The structural engineer will also be employed to further standardise and optimise current (E-PLAN) practices (using scripting). NOTE! The department does not do programming!
- Occurring projects up to 25kV:
- High-voltage installations up to 25kV, both the installation itself and the development of the distribution devices, complete with control and emergency power
- Low-voltage installations, both the installation itself and the development of the distribution systems, complete with control
- Design of control cabinets, Motor control centres (both conventional and Smart), LS distribution equipment (both compartmentalised, and e.g. Holec distributors)
- Design of PLC cabinets / of Network panels / server panels / patch panels
- Elaboration of fibre optic / communication networks
- Cable route projection
- Projects in industry, but sometimes also in energy and water infrastructure
