Experience Description
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in wastewater industry specializing in the design, analysis and maintenance of mechanical systems for treatment plants with initial Site experience
- Provide engineering support on Rothwell’s state-of-the-art technologies (MBR, MBBR, SBR, A20, ASP, IFAS) at various phases of pre-tendering, bidding and post order detail engineering of Wastewater and sewage treatment plants in India
- Minimum 3 years' experience with AutoCAD software, knowledge in Fabrication (Stainless steel) and equipment sourcing
Education and Certification
- Educational background : Mechanical Engineering (with field experience in Electrical and Instrumentation)

Roles and responsibilities
- Create and optimize mechanical systems, including pumps, blowers, and piping networks
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and layouts using CAD tools
- Conduct hydraulic and mechanical analyses to ensure efficient system performance
- Perform equipment sizing, pressure loss calculations, and energy efficiency assessments
- Supervise installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical equipment
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, ensuring system reliability and minimal downtime
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated wastewater solutions
- Manage procurement, vendor coordination, and cost estimation for projects
- Ensure designs meet industry standards (ASME, ANSI) and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and technical reports for regulatory compliance
- Implement preventative maintenance strategies and optimize system performance
- Identify and apply innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency Ensure designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards
- Technical co-ordination with all disciplines related to engineering effort
- Travel domestically and internationally, as required, frequency and duration of travel will depend on project needs
- Propose and implement sustainable and cost-effective solutions for clients
- Conduct reviews of engineering calculations, designs, and deliverables
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and project requirements
Competencies required
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for design and drafting
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, fluid mechanics, desired knowledge in biological process
- Expertise in wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, blowers, and piping systems
- Ability to conduct system analyses (e.g., pump sizing, pressure loss calculations)
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASME, ANSI) and environmental regulations
- Effective planning, scheduling, and cost estimation skills
- Ability to manage procurement and vendor relationships, desired negotiation skills on commercials
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
