Roles and responsibilities
You are a CNC Turner who makes gears and drive components which are purchased worldwide
- Programming the machine independently of a 2D drawing when utilizing 2-3 axis.
- Employing CAD/CAM (Edgecam and Siemens NX) when utilizing 3-5 axis.
- Programming the machining process through its CNC control.
- The machines are often programmed independently, from single piece to small series.
- Work on a.o. 4x DMG Mori CTX Beta, Dörries VCE 2800, all with drive tools) on which turning and milling can be done Installing the material into the machine.
- Selecting the appropriate tools. Setting the correct cutting data.
- Emptying and cleaning the machine. Transporting the new workpiece.
You are used to make single parts or small series – you are not someone only experienced with big series. Normally are these simple parts, like gears, shafts, etc. These parts must be programmed by the operator autonomously (90% of the job).
Machines you might work on:
- 4x DMG Mori CTX Beta
- Dörries VCE 2800
- The products vary in length roughly from 100mm to 3500mm and diameter up to 2500mm.
- All machines are equipped with the latest Siemens Shop turn controls
